If Miss America can do it, so can we!
Participating in a build with Habitat for Humanity has always been on my bucket list, so it’s one of the first volunteering actions we’ll be taking on the trip.
They have women builds which I think might be a good place to start for us since we have little or no experience. Seems like the pressure and energy might be more our speed. And like I said, if Miss America can do it, so can we!

Miss America Pageant Winners plant trees with Habitat for Humanity. Nice hats ladies!
We expect to be in Arizona in the Tucson area in the end of March so we’ll try to hook up with this Women Build project. Stay tuned for photos of us, but without the floppy hats and sashes!

The family and I have worked on a few Habitat for Humanity builds, unfortunately not from start to finish but we were there and we worked hard. It was completely wonderful and absolutely rewarding. I know you ladies will feel the same.
Hey-
When you get to New Orleans, volunteer with the “St. Bernard Project.” They work rebuilding houses for Katrina Victims – we volunteered for a week, and it was amazing…Even though we mainly did mold removal (rad)!
